runit slackware packages
runit - a UNIX init scheme with service supervision.
runit is a daemontools alike replacement for sysvinit and other init schemes.
Installing it, it will not replace the current init, but you must pass init=/sbin/runit-init to lilo; it's useful to check if the system will boot :-).
It has the following services enabled:acpid, cups, dbus, gpm, hald, kdm and ssh.
In order to remove some of them you must do rm -fr /var/services/servicename and if you want activate some other service you must copy the proper directory in /etc/runit/service to /var/service.
if the system boots, you can backup your /sbin/init and do a ln -sf /sbin/runit-init /sbin/init
